Meet the Coaches

Jackie Krist

Level 2 Program Director, Developmental TOPS Head Coach

Coach Jackie has been involved in the team, TOPs, developmental, and preschool programs at Five-Star Gymnastics since August 2009. She has also been involved with Brunswick High School Gymnastics since November 2013 as a Varsity Assistant Coach. She participated in competitive gymnastics for 10 years, reaching Level 9 and competing for undefeated Brecksville-Broadview Heights High School’s gymnastics team.

Her favorite event to compete was floor. She attended the University of Akron, earning bachelor’s degree in Middle Childhood Education, specializing in Social Studies and Language Arts in 2011. She is a USA Gymnastics Professional Member. Through USA Gymnastics University she has completed Fundamentals of Gymnastics Instruction (U100), Safety and Risk Management (U101), and USAG 2011 Region 5 Congress (U310), 2013 and 2014 USA Gymnastics National Congress (U410), 2013 TOPs B Training Camp (W312), J.O. routine critiques, and numerous other clinics locally and throughout the state. Also she has completed the Heads Up! Concussion in Youth Sports course.

Her favorite part of coaching is helping her students achieve their goals and watching the excitement on their face when they do so. Her personal interests are the Cleveland Indians and Browns, traveling everywhere and anywhere, and being outside in the sun or on the beach when possible. Her future goals are to continue to grow within the National TOPs program, to coach at the Elite or Collegiate level.
